Coral Springs Dog Bite Lawyer Analyzes Child Being Bitten By Dog Protecting Family/Friends

 A seven (7) year old boy received very significant wounds as he was bitten by a dog in Homestead, Florida. The remarkable part of this incident is that the young boy was bitten while protecting his younger brother and his friend. According to reports, a dog (German shepherd mix) escaped from a business where it was being kept by digging under a fence. The dog ran across the street and attacked small children who were playing there. On witnessing the dog attack, the seven (7) year old hero pushed his brother and friend under an automobile and shielded them from being bitten. As a result, the dog began to maul the seven (7) year old. The boys' father heard screaming coming from the front of his home, grabbed a shovel and struck the dog until it ended its attack.

I am so very moved by the actions of this young boy. He was able to think on his feet and protect his brother and friend. Unfortunately, he received the brunt of this aggressive dog's attack. South Florida's nice weather and warm climate makes people want to go outdoors. It also makes for more dogs to be out and about as well. Accordingly, Florida is a haven for dog bites, especially bites to children.
